Overview

Rajasthan is known as one of the most vibrant and exotic state of India. It has the royal heritage of the Rajputs, and hence the state is also known as ‘The Land of Great Kingdoms’. The essence of culture and tradition of Great Rajput kingdoms spread over the entire state, embellished with forts and palaces. Rajasthan is the most popular tourist destination of India.

The ‘Royal Journey of India’ package gives you an opportunity to explore the soul of royalty of Rajasthan, which is one of the most well-known all across the world. During the tour you will feel the essence of the timeless era. Visit the forts and palaces of Rajasthan, to understand the culture and traditions. Apart from this you also get the chance to explore the exotic wildlife of the state.

Along with that you will also get an opportunity to explore the some of the great Mughal monuments along with other historical monuments in Delhi and Agra including renowned Taj Mahal which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Taj Mahal is described as the most extortionate monument ever built for love. The duration of the tour is 20 nights and 21 days, covering the places such as Delhi-Agra-Jaipur-Pushkar-Ranthambore (Sawai Madhopur)-Kota-Bundi-Chittorgarh-Bijaipur-Udaipur-Kumbalgarh-Jodhpur-Jaisalmer-Bikaner-Mandawa.

Itinerary

Day 01: Arrive in Delhi

Upon arrival at the Delhi airport/railway station, meet our tour representative, after welcome, get transferred to the hotel. Check in at hotel. Rest day is free at leisure. You may roam around the nearby places or renowned market and test the mouthwatering foods. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 02: Delhi-Agra(By Road-235kms)

Today, leave by road for Agra. Upon arrival, check into the hotel. After freshen up, you depart for city tour in Agra, first visit The Taj Mahal, It is described as the most extortionate monument ever built for love. It was built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan which was dedicated to his beautiful wife Arjumand Bano Begum popularly known as Mumtaz Mahal. It is the final resting place of the queen, splendidly created for her remembrance. The beauty of Taj Mahal not only brings joys in viewer’s eyes but also is a feast to senses.

Later, visit Agra Fort the Agra fort was built by Akbar between 1565 -1573. This fort is built alongside the banks of River Yamuna and stretches for a length of almost 2.5 km. The fort is made using splendid pieces of red sandstone and white marble and the inner area inlaid with various semi-precious stones,

After visiting the Agra fort, proceed for Itmad-ud-Daula's Tomb,Nur Jahan the wife of Jahangir built a tomb for her father Mirza Ghiyas-ud-din, who died in 1622. The tomb was called as Imad-Ud-Daula. The tomb is built entirely of white marble. As its unique architectural style and structure, the tomb also called “Baby Taj”.

Later, return back to the hotel for night stay.

Day 03: Agra-Jaipur(By Road-240kms)

Post breakfast you set for a drive to Jaipur, and take a halt in Fatehpur Sikri. In Fatehpur Sikri you visit the Buland Darwaza, Palace of Jodha Bai, Jama Masjid, Birbal Bhawan and Panch Mahal.

Then resume the dive to Jaipur. it seeks to combine the modern with the ancient and gleaming malls with resplendent palaces and forts. It is one of the most popular tourist destination of India. Behind its pink crenelated walls, you will find the original old city that’s dates back to the 18th century.

Upon arrival in Jaipur, check into the hotel. Rest day is free at leisure. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 04: Jaipur Sightseeing

Today after breakfast, proceed for sightseeing in Jaipur. Visit main attractions of Jaipur including Hawa Mahal, The palace was designed for the royal women, so that they could see the festivals of the city without coming out of the palace. It was built of red and pink sandstone. You can get the best Rajasthani handcraft, clothing, souvenirs, jewelry etc nearby Hawa Mahal, do some sopping here.

City palace complex is located within the heart of Jaipur, which includes the Chandra Mahal and Mubarak Mahal palaces and other buildings. It was built by Sawai Jai Singh II between 1729 and 1732 AD.  You may also visit Jantar Mantar Observatory this monument was built by Sawai Jai Singh, which is listed UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Visit Jal Mahal, located at Man Sagar Lake, this fort was built in the 18th century and feels equally haunting and enchanting. Other spots to be visited are Amer Fort, About 11 kilometer north of the Jaipur city center Amber Fort Palace is located. It is the main attraction of Jaipur. Amber was the capital of the Kachhwaha Rajputs for 700 years. 

After sightseeing, return back to the hotel for overnight stay.

Day 05: Jaipur-Pushkar(By Road-146kms)

Post breakfast, proceed for city tour of Jaipur, explore the main attractions in Jaipur which include Pink City, Jantar Mantar, City Palace and the Hawa Mahal and also visit Amber Fort to enjoy the elephant joy ride. After breakfast proceed to Amber fort.

Later, drive to Pushkar. On reaching Pushkar, check into the hotel for night stay.

Day 06: Pushkar-Ranthambhore(By Road-271kms)

Post breakfast, proceed for Ranthambore National Park. It takes five hours to cover this distance. Ranthambhore National Park and Tiger Reserve is located at 11 kilometer from Sawai Madhopur. It is fascinating place for the people who keen to see the beautiful creation of nature, wildlife along with the history. 10th century ruins overgrown by roots, herons of lakes, a million myth about Raja Hamir and the glory days of Impregnable fort, you can essence the real romance spread over the forest.

On reaching, check in at your hotel room and relax. Rest of the day is to be spent at leisure.  Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 07: Ranthambhore

After breakfast, proceed for wildlife safari. This park is mainly under the task of preserving and breeding tigers to ensure a sure increase in their population. Besides tigers, this national park also houses many species of animals, birds, reptiles and flora. The park has one of the largest banyan trees in India.

In the evening return to your hotel for overnight stay.

Day 08: Ranthambhore-Kota(By Road-145kms)

Today proceed for early morning safari into the park. Post breakfast, leave for Kota, and the largest industrial town which is located on the banks of the river Chambal. This town is extremely well- known for its saris as well as a miniature school of art.

Upon arrival, complete the check-in formalities at your hotel. After freshen up, proceed for a city tour of Kota, and Visit the main attractions including Jag Mandir- situated on an island in Kishore Sagar Lake that was built by one of the queens of Kota. Enjoy a boat ride here. Later, visit the Govt. Museum. The last visit of the day is to the popular gardens of Chambal and Chatter Bilas. Overnight in Kota.

Day 09: Kota-Bundi-Chittorgarh Sightseeing

Today after early breakfast, proceed for Chittorgarh. En route take a halt at Bundi., Visit the Taragarh Fort which is a beautiful white fort that is now in a dilapidated state and Chattra Sagar-a village community gallery where miniature murals are displayed that depict instances from ‘Raaslila' - the Radha-Krishna story. The last visit in Bundi is Sukh Mahal - located on the banks of Lake Jait Sagar.

Later, proceed to Chittorgarh.  Check-in at hotel. After freshen up visit the Chittorgarh Fort, the largest fort in India. Leave for Bijaipur Castle for an overnight stay. 

Day 10: Bijaipur Castle-Udaipur(By Road-152kms)

In the morning, leave by road for Udaipur. En route, visit Ranakpur, which is popular for its Jain temples.

Upon arrival in Udaipur, check into the hotel. Rest day is free at leisure. In the evening you may out for an evening walk to the local bazaars where you can buy some authentic Rajasthani items. Stay overnight in Udaipur

Day 11: Udaipur

Today after breakfast, proceed for a sightseeing tour of Udaipur which include Jagdish Temple, City Palace, Saheliyon ki Bari and Bhartiya Lok Kala Mandir. The evening is enjoy a boat ride in Lake Pichola. Stay overnight in the hotel.

Day 12: Udaipur-Kumbalgarh(By Road-102kms)

After breakfast, hit the road to Kumbalgarh.  En route take a halt at the Ranakpur temples-a well-known Jain pilgrimage center. Known as Chaturmukh group of temples, they are every year visited by devotees in large number.

On arriving in Kumbalgarh,. Upon arrival, complete the check-in at your hotel. The rest of the day is free at leisure or you may explore the surroundings on foot. Stay overnight at hotel.

Day 13: Kumbalgarh-Jodhpur(By Road-190kms)

After breakfast, drive to Jodhpur. Jodhpur also popular for its forts, palaces, temples and the stark landscape of the Thar Desert. Due to the vivid blue-painted houses around the Mehrangarh Fort, it also called the “Blue City”. Jodhpur traveller spots remain as a living demonstration of the quality, traditions and culture. The original city lies inside the fortified walls of the fort however now the city has extended over outside the wall and spared gradually.

Upon arrival, check in at your pre-booked hotel. The day is free for leisure activities where you can roam around the market where you can by the local items of Rajasthan. Stay overnight in hotel.

Day 14: Jodhpur Sightseeing

Today, you visit the attractions of Jodhpur. The first visit is the Mehrangarh fort-situated 400 feet above the city, it is one of the largest forts of India. The next visit of the day is Jaswant Thada-Jaswant Thada is a beautiful marble cenotaph that was built by Sardar Singh ji in the memoriy of his father, Maharaja Jaswant Singh II in 1899. This is situated nearby the Mehrangarh fort.

Later, proceed to explore the market where you can shop for fine handicrafts such as embroidered shoes, painting, silverware, tie and dye fabrics etc. Stay overnight in Jodhpur.

Day 15: Jodhpur-Jaisalmer(By Road-285kms)

After early breakfast, get transfer to the railway station to board the train towards Jaisalmer.

Upon your arrival at the Jaisalmer Railway Station, meet our tour representative, who’ll assist you in smooth transfer to the hotel. On arrival, check in at the hotel. Relax for a while.

By evening you will visit the stunning Sam Sand Dunes, No trip to Jisalmer is completed without visiting its vast Thar Desert. To feel the real colour of desert, this is the ideal location for to take the Desert Safari. Here you can enjoy the camel ride or enjoy the ever lively folk dances and music of Rajasthan as the sun sets. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 16: Jaisalmer Sightseeing

Today after breakfast, embark on a sightseeing tour of Jaisalmer which include Patwon-Ki-Haveli, a set of five houses adjacent to each other. It was built by five Jain brothers in the first half of the 19th century. The multi storeyed buildings are constructed in traditional Rajasthani Style.

Visit Jaisalmer Fort, It is also called as Golden Fort of Rajasthan also it is the one of the largest fortifications in the world. Immortalized through many images, the yellow sandstone Jaisalmer fort is the town’s signature fort. It is unique inasmuch as people have been living in it throughout its history.  The fort is comes under World Heritage Site. Jaisalmer fort was constructed by Rawal Jaisal, the Rajput ruler in 1156 AD and  later proceed for Bada Bagh, located at 6 kilometre from Jaisalmer on the way to Ramgarh. The garden contains chhatris of Maharajas of Jaisalmer state.  in 16th century Raja Jai Singh II was founded a dam to create a water tank which made this desert into green area. After the death of Raja Jai Singh II, his descendant Lunkaran was constructed a garden and made a chhatri (cenotaph) near the dam

You may also visit Gadisar Lake It is situated at 6 kilometre from Jaisalmer fort. It was constructed by the founder of the Jaisalmer Raja Rawal Jaisal. The people of Jaisalmer was deepened on this Lake. The artistically carved entrance made of yellow sandstone offers breath-taking views. You can also do the boating on the lake.

Day 17: Jaisalmer to Bikaner(By Road-330kms)

In the morning, proceed to the next destination-Bikaner. A vast expanse of glistening desert, the city lies in the northern region of the state. It was founded by the Rathore Prince- Rao Bikaji in 1488 AD. Famous for Camel Safaris, it boasts of the world’s largest Camel research and breeding farm.

After reaching Bikaner, take a trip to the massive Junagarh Fort. The fort was built in 1593 AD by Raja Rai Singh- the sixth ruler of the city. Some of the striking palaces inside the fort are Anup Mahal, Ganga Niwas and Rang Mahal. Moreover, you can discover the rich treasures of the bygone era in the museum.

Thereafter, visit the Laxmi Niwas Palace, an erstwhile residence of the former ruler- Maharaja Ganga Singh. It is a wonderful example of Indo-Saracenic style and now serves as a luxury hotel.

Thereafter, also visit the National Research Center on Camel. Spread over an area of more than 2000 acres, it is one of its kinds in Asia. While spending your time here, you can enrich your knowledge about Camel, the famous ‘Ship of the Desert’. The centre also has a camel museum that throws light on the developmental aspects of the research work.

After sightseeing return back to hotel for overnight stay.

Day 18: Bikaner-Mandawa(By Road-193kms)

Post breakfast in the morning, leave by road for Mandawa. Mandawa is the major part of Shekhawati region, it is a small town in Jhunjhunu district of Rajasthan which is known for its havelies and forts.

Upon arrival, check into the hotel. The evening is booked to visit the Shekhawati area and explore the frescoes and painted Havelis followed by a camel ride. Stay overnight in the hotel.

Day 19: Mandawa-Delhi(By Road-330kms)

Today after breakfast, dive to Delhi. Upon arrival, check into the hotel. Later, go out for a shopping expedition in Delhi which includes Dilli Haat, Chandni Chowk and Janpath. Stay overnight in the hotel.  

Day 20: Delhi Sightseeing

Today after breakfast today, proceed for the attractions of Old and New Delhi. The highlights of Old Delhi attractions includes Raj Ghat, Jama Masjid and Red Fort. Later, enjoy a rickshaw ride from Jama Masjid to Chandni Chowk.  Post lunch, visit New Delhi attractions including Humayun's Tomb and the Qutub Minar Complex.  Drive past Rajpath, India Gate, Parliament House, the President's Residence and the Diplomatic Enclave. Overnight in Delhi.

Day 21: Departure from Delhi
